AV / Smart Home Service Engineer South Territory (Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire & Buckinghamshire) We are a leading home technology and automation specialist, delivering high-end smart home, audio-visual, and automation solutions for residential clients. Pay, Benefits and Working hours * Flexible working: Split your time between home, the office, and client sites. * Career growth: Training, industry certifications, and professional development. * Salary £40,000 – £43,000 (depending on experience) * Performance-related bonuses * Company van * Pension and ongoing training support * Typical working hours: 7am–5:30pm, with two days per week working from home handling remote support. * On-call rota: One weekend per month (paid as overtime). About the Job * As an AV/Smart Home Service Engineer you’ll provide remote and on-site support, maintain system quality, and ensure excellent client service. * You’ll also contribute to help desk processes, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives. * Respond to support tickets promptly, providing remote and on-site solutions. * Ensure project quality assurance and smooth client onboarding. * Maintain detailed and accurate documentation, with thorough follow-up on all cases. * Support process improvements and actively contribute in team meetings. About You * Experience in AV, home automation, or smart home service / similar * with Control4, AV/video matrices, and IP networking. – ideal but not essential * Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and client-facing skills. * Full, clean UK driving licence; willing to travel between client sites. * Detail-oriented, proactive, and a positive, collaborative team player. * Any knowledge of KNX, Lutron, Crestron, OvrC, or other home automation systems is a plus
