Are you an engineer who enjoys solving technical problems, working with customers and seeing projects through from concept to delivery? This is a varied role that would suit somebody with a practical engineering background who enjoys a mix of CAD design, customer interaction, technical problem solving and project support. The role offers excellent exposure across engineering, product development, quality, customer support and commissioning activities.
The Role
Working closely with customers, engineering teams and production, you will support bespoke projects from initial enquiry through to final delivery. Key responsibilities include:
- Producing CAD drawings, layouts and technical presentations
- Supporting customers with technical product enquiries
- Producing technical proposals, reports and engineering documentation
- Providing technical support, troubleshooting and fault finding
- Supporting project delivery and customer installations
- Assisting with product testing and evaluation activities
- Carrying out quality inspections on incoming components
- Supporting quality and continuous improvement initiatives
- Working closely with Engineering, Production, Procurement and Customer Service teams
- Occasional UK and international travel to support customers and installations
About You
- Previous experience within a mechanical, electrical or electronic engineering environment, or a recent Engineering Graduate.
- CAD experience, ideally SolidWorks
- Strong technical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills and confidence speaking with customers
- A practical, hands-on approach
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Full UK driving licence
- Valid passport or willingness to travel when required
