Join a growing engineering business where you’ll play a key part in delivering bespoke projects end-to-end. This role suits a Project Engineer / Commercial Engineer / hands-on Engineer who enjoys being customer-facing and wants to develop further into a commercially focused engineering position—while staying close to design and delivery.
What you’ll be doing:
- Producing CAD-based lighting design presentations for customer projects (layouts, 3D assemblies, placement charts, renderings)
- Creating technical documentation (reports, specifications, test procedures)
- Providing technical support, diagnosis, fault-finding and troubleshooting
- Supporting occasional site commissioning/customer support when needed, infrequent
- Supporting engineering and product development work (design support, prototype build/test, evaluation)
- Assisting quality activities: inspections, audits, non-conformance investigations and corrective actions
What we’re looking for:
- Practical engineering background with mechanical knowledge and basic electrical understanding
- CAD proficiency is essential (2D and/or 3D, training on their specific approach/software can be provided)
- Strong MS Office skills and confidence presenting technical information to customers
- Organised, proactive and comfortable coordinating multiple priorities
- Full UK driving licence and valid passport
