Operations and Finance Manager required to join a well established and growing childcare provider in Wickford. This is a hybrid role, 3 days from home and 2 in head office, based in Wickford.
The company employs over 130 staff across 11 sites, comprised mostly of childcare employees. As the Finance & Operations Manager, you will be responsible for two direct reports, who make up the admin team.
The ideal candidate will have a background in either Operations or Finance, or ideally a combination of both. You will be able to support the finance team with bookkeeping and general day-to-day financial tasks. In addition, you will take a broad view of the business, overseeing procurement audits, running costs, staff operations and more.
Day to Day Responsibilities
- Work to support the Director of Operations who oversees Company operations, programs and the finance of the company.
- Assist the Director of Operations in the planning, implementation and evaluation of programs and company investments for development and expansion.
- Manage the admin team that oversees administration of bookings, payments and setting management.
- Ensure the smooth running of the settings intake and management of payments, budget and payroll.
- Assist in overseeing, supporting and maintaining the implementation and delivery of operations, programs, services and activities that focus on company growth.
- Assist in the identification and evaluation of opportunities to improve business effectiveness to achieve goals and make recommendations and/or modifications to improve performance.
- Participate in budget development and monitor and report expenditures in adherence with budget and development opportunities.
- Align daily operations to meet strategy targets.
- Ensure daily bank reconciliations of both accounts receivable and payable, as well as customer account management including any debt recovery.
- Assist in the production of Monthly Management Accounts as well as year-end Financial Statements.
- Assist in the development, documentation and implementation of business processes.
