For over 70 years, Searles has been one of the region’s most trusted destinations for UK seaside breaks, built around a simple motto: “creating happiness for all ages.” As part of the wider Searles Leisure Group, an independent family business operating for more than 83 years, the resort is known for its friendly, welcoming atmosphere and strong community values.
Job Purpose: To be the face of Searles for customers entering the new Owners Excellence and Holiday Homes sales centre. Making customers feel welcome and supporting both the Owners Excellence team and the Sales team. Also to announce appointments to the other departments housed within the centre.
Full job description: To be Front of House in the new Owners Excellence and Holiday Home sales Centre at Searles Leisure Resort. The candidates will need to be well presented with a friendly and professional attitude. To front the reception area and greet customers as they enter. Answer general questions and direct customers to the relevant departments, contact the members of staff that are requested and when necessary, offer refreshments whilst waiting. To assist both the Owners Excellence and sales team with general administration duties, this may entail things like creating in-house work requests, booking appointments, chasing warranty related work and engaging in social media etc. Attending owner events where required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet and greet customers.
- Offer refreshments to guests waiting.
- Assist with administration duties for the Owners Excellence and Sales teams.
- Maintenance of the Costa Coffee machine.
- Follow company procedures for tasks to ensure excellent consistent standards are met.
- Complying with all Company Policies and Procedures.
- To perform any other relevant duties as required by Supervisor and/or Senior Management.
- To act as an ambassador for the business and ensure that the Company is promoted externally, to all customers, on all occasions.
- Support the company’s mission and objectives through compliance to Policies and Procedures.
- Be involved in owners events when needed, this may entail out of hours work for fun evening/weekend events.
Days & Hours of work:
2 positions are available, to fill cover 7 days a week.
- Position 1: 20hrs per week over 3 days (yearly average) e.g. Thurs, Fri, Sat
- Position 2: 27hrs per week over 4 days (yearly average) e.g. Sun, Mon, Tues, Weds
Bank Holidays and Weekends are required and flexibility to meet business needs and cover absences, such as holidays. Working Hours example 9 – 5pm, during the main season, reducing as needed to a 6 hours day in the winter months.
Wages: £12.75 per hour, weekly paid

Education, Training & Experience:
No experience necessary and full training will be given, however front of house or reception based duties will be of a benefit. Computer literate, understanding of Microsoft Word and Outlook, will be required to learn company software for reporting work requests, sourcing customer details, emailing. Uploading information on holiday homes to our website or 3rd party websites. A knowledge of social media to assist sales would be beneficial. Teamwork skills and the ability to act as the public face of the business.
