Searcys is looking for a Sous Chef to play a key role in ensuring smooth operations during the busy months from May to July at The Honourable Society of the Inner Temple.
The Honourable Society of The Inner Temple, located on the Thames and one of the few remaining Georgian-style event halls in the City of London, is surrounded by a three-acre private garden. It is one of Searcys\’ most exquisite event venues.

Hours: 40 hours per week (fixed term until end of July)
Salary: £24 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and assist in the preparation and presentation of meals and service across the Hall, Garden, and Events
- Lead and develop the brigade team in menu planning and dish development
- Guide junior chefs and porters
- Manage food ordering and production
- Maintain records of food production, waste, stock, and costs
- Hold formal culinary training with at least 2 years\’ experience in production or event catering
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety, Food Safety, and COSHH standards
- Demonstrate strong organizational and management skills with attention to detail
- Work effectively under pressure
