Searcys are looking for a Pastry Chef to join the team at the Honourable Artillery Company. As a Pastry Chef in this venue, you will have the opportunity to create high-quality desserts and deliver exceptional culinary experiences for guests. You will work with a structured team to create high-end, tailored events from bespoke fine dining dinners to large-scale corporate parties and outdoor events. The HAC is a historic London venue with a Georgian house set in a five-acre garden, offering a variety of event spaces and an outdoor area within the city backdrop.

Job Description
At The HAC, you will be required to be adaptable as the venue is diverse and at any time will have multiple events happening across a number of floors. You will be supporting the Head Chef to manage day-to-day service, whilst leading and mentoring the junior team to deliver high-end events and exceptional quality food. Mostly Monday to Friday – flexibility with evenings and weekends required.
Key Responsibilities
- To have sole responsibility for all desserts and pastry for all events
- To ensure the food remains to the highest quality and consistency across all events
- To manage food and produce ordering by keeping a record of wastage, stock holding and any food cost concerns
- To work with the Head Chef on the development and costing of menus, ensuring we are keeping up to date with the latest trends
- To assist the other sections where necessary
Qualifications
- Very well organised and ability to prioritise workload
- Ability to work under pressure
- Excellent standards
- Experience in working in a 5-star hotel or Michelin-star restaurant is desirable
- Able to work effectively as part of a team
- Attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
