Commis Waiter / Waitres - London Company Description Searcys are looking for a dynamic Commis Waiter/waitress to join the team at the National Portrait Gallery Restaurant.

We are looking for personable individuals to join our Commis Waiting Team to assist with restaurant service as well as bar/lounge service.

You will be required to polish glasses, cutlery and plates, deliver food from the kitchen to the dining rooms as well as carry out general cleaning of work areas before and after service.

Searcys were very fortunate to have opened the extraordinary Portrait Restaurant based in London's iconic National Portrait Gallery in collaboration with Michelin starred chef Richard Corrigan.

Job Description

  • Full-time
  • Employment Type: Permanent
  • Average Hours Per Week: 40
  • Salary 14.40 per hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing the Back of House ready for service, e. g. polishing plates, glassware and cutlery
  • Making sure your workstation is always clean and tidy
  • Light cleaning duties towards the end of service.
  • Disposing of recyclables and various waste streams
  • Delivering food and beverage to the restaurant for waiters to serve
  • Preparing teas and coffees
  • Relaying tables for restaurant services
  • To ensure that all legislative and Government guidelines are adhered to, including The Food Safety Act, Health and Safety at Work Act, the COSHH regulations, etc. within the areas of responsibility including all other requirements as described in the Searcys Health & Safety Policy
  • To comply with all legal requirements with particular reference to (but not exclusively) fire regulations, security, licence requirements and any Local Authority or Client stipulations and any other reasonable request of Senior Management
