Searcys are looking for a Sales & Business Development Manager to join the team at the HAC. The Sales & Business Development Manager will proactively and reactively generate commercial sales which contribute to the quarterly and annual budget, profitability targets and deadlines. They will also act as the senior person in the sales team in the Head of Sales’ absence and deputise for them.
The HAC is quite unlike any other City event venue; a magnificent Georgian house set in a five-acre garden. This unique, historic London venue offers a wide variety of event spaces and a unique outdoor space nestled within the city backdrop.

Key Responsibilities
- Proactively generate new business across corporate, agency and event markets
- Account management of new and existing clients, targeting revenue growth
- To convert incoming enquiries into confirmed business
- To prepare proposals for new enquiries, ensuring venue standards are adhered to and contain best fit expectations for the client, whilst maximising yield and revenue
- Maintain accurate activity and pipeline reporting
- Meet with prospective clients and conduct show rounds
- Help oversee the venue diary ensuring that all information is accurate, up to date and that all the correct revenue has been inputted
- Support the Head of Sales in delivering marketing strategy through client FAM trips, relationship management events, exhibitions
- Support the Head of Sales in delivering a successful sales department and act as the senior person in their absence
Experience and Skills
- Demonstrate your sales career within the hospitality sector
- Experience working within food service/hospitality is essential
- Proven experience of managing an end-to-end sales process and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets
- Ability to close both local bids
- Strong organisational skills
- Able to communicate clearly and confidently both verbally and written at all levels
- Keen to make your mark in the sector by being at the heart of a regional team and leading sales opportunities
- Excellent customer focused manner
- Committed to delivering service excellence
- Ability to manage time effectively
