Searcys is looking for a Head Pastry Chef to join the team at Searcys Events in High Wycombe.

As a Head Pastry Chef, you will be an ambassador for the brand, delivering memorable food with creativity and expertise. You will work hands-on with the kitchen brigade, managing daily activities, staffing, and menu development, ensuring continuous improvement in quality.

Salary: £45,000 per annum

Contract: 45 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of the pastry section
  • Monitor standards and report concerns to the Head Chef
  • Coordinate with the Operations Manager and Deputy in their absence
  • Ensure compliance with legal and safety guidelines
  • Maintain staff presentation standards
  • Ensure services are ready on time and meet standards
  • Adjust staffing levels based on business needs
  • Manage budget and food purchasing
  • Follow personnel procedures in line with Investors in People standards
  • Adhere to legal requirements
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by senior management
  • Stay organized and prioritize workload
  • Work effectively under pressure
  • Experience in a 5-star hotel or Michelin-starred restaurant is desirable
  • Work well as part of a team
