Overview: Hospitality Assistant (Monday to Friday) – RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) – Full-time
Location: Great George Street, SW1, London. Front of House.
Responsibilities:
- Support and monitor all food and drinks service for customers/clients/guests during events and conferences, and clear after service.
- Ensure clean furniture, dining tables and chairs are available and presentations are maintained at a high standard.
- Clean and polish all cutlery and glasses/crockery for each event.
- Prepare hospitality food and beverage requests offered to customers/clients/guests in designated meeting spaces in a presentable manner.
- Work without supervision, take initiative over duties and tasks without being directed.
- Serve guests with a genuine and positive demeanour; ensure service is efficient and of the highest quality.
- Work at licensed bars serving alcoholic beverages.
- Use coffee machines when required.
- Assist with ordering and deliveries as required.
- Prepare hospitality requirements ensuring items are available; report shortages to the line manager.
- Count and pack away linen and equipment hired for events after the event, ensuring everything is ready for collection.
- Demonstrate strong presentation skills and excellent customer care.
- Demonstrate good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Be reliable, punctual and show a strong work ethic; willingness to work flexible hours.
- Handle feedback to achieve member/customer satisfaction; multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Understand and follow written and verbal instructions; perform the physical requirements of the role, including lifting and moving furniture and stock.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience in a hospitality or guest-facing role is an advantage but not essential.
- Strong presentation and customer care skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
