Floor Manager, Conference & Banqueting

Location: 30 Euston Square, NW1 2FB, London

Job Type: Full Time, 45 hours per week

Hourly Rate: £15.65

Overview

Searcys at 30 Euston Square is looking for a C&B Floor Manager to collaborate with the Operations management team to deliver flawless service and exceptional food and drinks within both our large conference and banqueting operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organise and deliver a successful operation of conferences, banquets and other areas within the events department with the assistance of relevant department heads – with a focused direction on the internal operation of the building.
  • Liaise with key personnel, including events and sales departments, to deliver service that meets and exceeds client expectations.
  • Brief the events team on all aspects of the business and oversee the running of all events, working lunches and dining.
  • Meet clients on arrival, ensuring the event meets their requirements and that any on‑the‑day changes are communicated to relevant parties.
  • Train staff to operate in accordance with department standards, including any casual labour that may be required.
  • Coordinate with kitchen, events, reception and other departments to ensure food and service provision is consistent and aligns with pre‑agreed menu/standards.
  • Monitor that all staff present themselves appropriately dressed for duty and remain well groomed whilst on duty.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience in people management.
  • Excellent product knowledge (food/beverage).
  • Experience in running large events and dinners.
  • Leads by example by always acting professionally.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Takes initiative.
  • Excellent time management.
  • Supportive / Team player.
  • Strong presentation skills.
