The Pump Room in Bath is looking for a Kitchen Porter to join the team and support the day to day running of the Pump Room. The Georgian Pump Room has been the social heart of Bath for more than two centuries, and boasts among its previous patrons Jane Austen and Charles Dickens.

Job Type and Pay:
Job Type: Hours as Required
Hourly Rate: £12.71 plus Tronc
You will work closely with the team, ensuring to create a nurturing and positive environment for the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of food in line with chef direction
- Keeping the kitchen and restaurant areas in a clean and tidy state at all times
- Provide a friendly, efficient and hygienic service to all customers
- To be flexible to work in all kitchens, serveries, staff canteens and external reception spaces
- To ensure all areas of the kitchens and service areas on all floors are maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness, providing a clean and safe working area
- To maintain all catering storage areas, ensuring they are always organised and clean
- To receive, count, inspect and store goods and/or equipment and dispensing or disposing them to/from departments as and when required
- To be involved with some food preparation and service when required
- Report immediately any incidents or accidents, fire, theft, loss, damage, unfit food, or other irregularities and take such action as may be appropriate
- Report any broken equipment to the Executive chef/Head chef
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or cleaning role is desirable but not essential
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Good communication skills
