Job Description
To implement and manage procedures to ensure the successful smooth operation of all back of house catering areas. To identify areas of improvement and instigate practices to develop efficiency and ensuring all practices are in line with health and safety legislation and Searcys policy.
Job Type: 40 hours per week
Salary: £36,000 pa
Working afternoon/ evenings
Responsibilities:
- Support the overseeing of the organisation and cleanliness of all kitchens and back-of-house areas, ensuring compliance with food safety and health & safety standards.
- Responsible for all ‘Goods In’.
- To ensure invoices are checked and logged, highlighting discrepancies to suppliers and on‑site management accountant.
- Coordinate stock control, including ordering, delivery, rotation, storage, monthly stock takes, and updating inventory and pricing records.
- Ensuring all invoices are checked and processed correctly following company policy.
- Monitor the practice of all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and requirements within area of responsibility.
- To ensure the preparation of all china, glass, cutlery and light equipment for all events.
- Carry out, maintain, and review risk assessments for all areas both internal and external where catering is requested.
- Coordinate the management, maintenance and organisation of stores.
- Responsible for accident reporting and to carry out accident investigations and brief all employees on the procedure of all accident reporting, near misses and accident investigations in your absence.
- To always represent Searcys in a professional manner in your behaviour, appearance and knowledge.
To carry out any other reasonable duties as required by management.
