Senior Business Development Manager – IoT / SaaS (New Business Only) – Must have 5 yrs exp
Location: Manchester (2–3 days in office, hybrid)
Overview:
An exciting opportunity for an experienced New Business BDM to join a leading provider of IoT smart monitoring solutions. You’ll focus on selling real-time data-driven SaaS solutions across numerous industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- 100% new business development via calls, emails, and social outreach
- Respond to inbound leads and self-generate opportunities
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline (CRM)
- Conduct needs assessments and propose tailored IoT solutions
- Deliver product demos and close deals
- Identify upselling opportunities and support customer onboarding
- Attend networking and trade events
Requirements:
- Proven success in a pure new business sales role
- Confident cold caller and strong communicator (all levels up to C-suite)
- Knowledge of IoT / LoRaWAN preferred
- Experience selling into sectors like manufacturing, healthcare, education, etc.
- CRM proficiency and strong pipeline management skills
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and results-driven
