We’re hiring a Senior Android Engineer to join a small, highly skilled mobile team building a data-intensive product used by elite professionals worldwide. This is a hands-on senior role where you’ll act as the most experienced Android engineer on the team, shaping architecture, mentoring others, and having real influence over technical direction.
What you’ll be doing:
- Architectural leadership: Designing and evolving scalable, maintainable Android architectures using modern best practices.
- Hands-on development: Building high-quality Android features using Kotlin and the Jetpack ecosystem.
- Product collaboration: Working closely with product, design, and domain experts to turn ambiguous requirements into clear technical solutions.
- Performance & quality: Taking ownership of app performance, reliability, testing strategy, and production health.
- Mentorship: Supporting and guiding mid-level engineers and contractors through code reviews and technical leadership.
- Innovation: Exploring and piloting new technologies such as Jetpack Compose and Kotlin Multiplatform where appropriate.
Essential experience:
- Strong senior-level Android development experience on production apps
- Deep expertise in Kotlin (coroutines, flows, memory management)
- Solid understanding of modern Android architectures (MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture)
- Experience defining and maintaining robust testing strategies
- Confidence owning technical decisions and explaining trade-offs clearly
