I’m currently partnered with one of the UK’s most exciting AI-driven startups as they look to hire a Senior Data Engineer to join their growing team. This business is already transforming operations within the hospitality sector through a unique combination of AI-powered workforce planning and a large-scale flexible staffing platform. Following rapid growth and strong commercial success over the past year, they’re now scaling aggressively and preparing for international expansion.
They’re looking for an experienced, hands-on Data Engineer who can play a key role in building and scaling the infrastructure behind their analytics and machine learning systems. You’ll take ownership of data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and production ML systems that directly power forecasting, optimisation, and real-time operational decision-making. Working closely with Data Scientists, Product teams, and Engineers, you’ll help shape a modern AWS-native data platform within a fast-moving, highly collaborative environment.
- Designing, building, and maintaining scalable ETL/ELT pipelines
- Supporting production ML systems, including LLM and forecasting workflows
- Improving reliability and performance across AWS infrastructure
- Writing and optimising complex SQL for analytics and reporting
- Building integrations across internal and external systems
Requirements:
- Strong experience in Data Engineering and cloud infrastructure
- Excellent Python and SQL skills
- Experience deploying and monitoring ML systems in production
- Exposure to AWS services such as Redshift, S3, Lambda, SageMaker, Athena etc.
