Salary: £90,000 – £120,000 per annum (Dependent on Experience)

Our client is building a cutting-edge AI platform and is seeking a talented Senior Full Stack Engineer with a strong backend focus to contribute to our mission. You’ll be working on complex challenges, designing and implementing scalable solutions, and playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of their platform.

This role is ideal for a passionate engineer who is excited about the potential of AI and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will have the opportunity to work with modern technologies and contribute to a product that is pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. They are building this product from the ground up, so people who like to work on greenfield projects and can help with decision-making will do well.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable backend systems for our AI platform.
Build and optimize APIs for seamless integration with frontend applications and other services.
Implement data storage and processing solutions, ensuring data integrity and performance.
Collaborate with frontend engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving our development processes.
Contribute to architectural decisions and technical roadmaps.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
Contribute to the development of our CI/CD pipelines.

Skills and Experience:

Extensive experience in backend development using languages such as Python, Node.js, or Java.
Strong understanding of database systems (SQL and/or NoSQL).
Experience with cloud platforms GCP ideally.
Proficient in building and consuming RESTful APIs.
Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Solid understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
Experience with testing frameworks and methodologies.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Experience with AI/ML concepts and technologies is a plus.
Experience in building scalable systems.
