About the Role
Our client, a leading player in the Renewable Energy sector, are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Business Analyst. In this role, you will play a critical part in driving data-driven decisions and improving business performance across various aspects of energy operations.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, and operations, to identify opportunities for improvement, streamline processes, and develop innovative solutions to complex business challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth market research and analysis: Analyse market trends, competitive landscapes, customer behaviour, and regulatory changes to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain business process models: Document and analyse existing business processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements.
- Support project management initiatives: Gather requirements, conduct feasibility studies, and track project progress to ensure successful project delivery.
- Analyse large datasets: Utilise data mining techniques, statistical analysis, and data visualisation tools to extract valuable insights from operational, financial, and customer data.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs): Track and analyse key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of business operations and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare reports and presentations: Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to stakeholders at all levels, including senior management.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and technologies: Continuously research and evaluate emerging technologies and their potential impact on the energy sector.
- Support the development of new business models and strategies: Contribute to the identification and evaluation of new business opportunities, including renewable energy projects, energy efficiency initiatives, and customer-centric solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor\’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the energy or a related industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, and business intelligence platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively convey complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong project management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with market research and competitive analysis.
- Knowledge of energy markets, regulations, and technologies is a strong plus.
- Experience with Agile methodologies is preferred.
