Responsibilities & activities: Before applying for this role, please read the following information about this opportunity found below. Providing Engineering and technical support to the waste business. Design, implement and refine production process machinery for the processing of waste materials. Oversee projects from concept to commissioning. Assist in the creation and management of budgets. Forge and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers, attending trade shows and conferences, and making site visits to suppliers’ facilities. Advocate on behalf of team members by securing adequate capex. Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders, including department heads. Maintain high levels of expertise in the sector. Assure processes developed meet qualify and safety compliance guidelines. Requirements Experience of the waste management industry with extensive knowledge of mechanical processing and sorting plants such as shredders, screeners and MRF’s. Experience in automation is also essential. Solid knowledge of safety regulations such at LOLER and PUWER. Degree level in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience. Ability to quickly build relationships and work with all levels within an organisation
