Responsibilities & activities:
- Providing Engineering and technical support to the waste business.
- Design, implement and refine production process machinery for the processing of waste materials.
- Oversee projects from concept to commissioning.
- Assist in the creation and management of budgets.
- Forge and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers, attending trade shows and conferences, and making site visits to suppliers’ facilities.
- Advocate on behalf of team members by securing adequate capex.
- Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders, including department heads.
- Maintain high levels of expertise in the sector.
- Assure processes developed meet qualify and safety compliance guidelines.
Requirements
- Experience of the waste management industry with extensive knowledge of mechanical processing and sorting plants such as shredders, screeners and MRF’s.
- Experience in automation is also essential.
- Solid knowledge of safety regulations such at LOLER and PUWER.
- Degree level in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to quickly build relationships and work with all levels within an organisation
