Responsibilities & activities:

  • Providing Engineering and technical support to the waste business.
  • Design, implement and refine production process machinery for the processing of waste materials.
  • Oversee projects from concept to commissioning.
  • Assist in the creation and management of budgets.
  • Forge and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers, attending trade shows and conferences, and making site visits to suppliers’ facilities.
  • Advocate on behalf of team members by securing adequate capex.
  • Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders, including department heads.
  • Maintain high levels of expertise in the sector.
  • Assure processes developed meet qualify and safety compliance guidelines.

Requirements

  • Experience of the waste management industry with extensive knowledge of mechanical processing and sorting plants such as shredders, screeners and MRF’s.
  • Experience in automation is also essential.
  • Solid knowledge of safety regulations such at LOLER and PUWER.
  • Degree level in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to quickly build relationships and work with all levels within an organisation
