Scroll down for a complete overview of what this job will require Are you the right candidate for this opportunity Reporting to the Plant Manager, the focus of the Maintenance Manager is delivering the key strategic objectives for the site. Manage all aspects of maintenance on site, and the performance of employees and contractors involved in such work. To maximise plant availability and achieve the safe and efficient operation of the power station. You will, on occasion be required to work hours outside the core working week to suit the needs of the business. Responsibilities Manage short-term and long-term maintenance objectives for the site. Lead a team of multi-skilled technicians, providing guidance and direction. Manage the adoption of the latest technologies in plant condition monitoring and statutory compliance. Hold responsibility for the station’s maintenance budgets and ensure alignment with the plants\’ business plan. Adhere to and manage the procurement of goods and services. Coordinate, plan and manage all outages to include liaising with contractors. Support the execution of the SHE Management system. Assist the Financial Controller with detailing and communicating all maintenance costs. You This is a key management role and therefore the successful candidate will have the necessary management knowledge and experience, together with strong leadership skills. You will hold a current NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent, be a competent O&M system user with a high level of technical and operational plant awareness. Ideally you will have a ‘time served’ apprenticeship, a management qualification equivalent to level 3 or above, with a minimum of 3-5 years power generation/utility experience. You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, IT skills and your understanding of the procurement process.
