We're currently working on behalf of an IT Consultancy in Birmingham who specialise in bespoke Enterprise Software. They have been growing steadily in recent times despite the market downturn and are now looking for a Business Development specialist to join the business and propel it forwards.
You will have ownership of the Business Development strategy, including Marketing and Sales, as well as being responsible for the hands-on sales activity, ensuring a range of channels/methods are utilised to generate new leads and negotiate/convert to billable business.
Ideally you will have:
- A demonstrable background in selling bespoke software solutions
- A good understanding of Business Development/Sales strategy
- A solid 'black book' of contacts in the UK market (preferably enterprise level IT leaders)
- Experience in boutique/SME sized organisations
- A self-starter attitude and ambition to progress
