THE COMPANY
Our Client constantly delivers several film and television packages for their audiences. They have an incredible reputation, making them a key player in the independent film landscape with several projects and co-productions in the pipeline. This is an exciting time to be joining them.

THE ROLE
As a Marketing Coordinator, you will take a hands-on role in various projects, gaining invaluable experience while collaborating with a skilled and knowledgeable team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing Company's social profile - website, social media platforms, etc.
  • Managing release and box office charts, obtaining P&A budgets from distributors and coordinating approvals.
  • Circulating reports to producers and financiers and inputting and updating our rights management system (Movie Chainer).
  • Proactively updating distributors on release plans, information and status of films.
  • Arranging ad-hoc press interviews with film talent - being comfortable liaising with talent and reps (approvals, schedules, festival launches).
  • Approving localised trailers, posters, social media materials.
  • Assisting in organisation of film launches at festivals – e.g. Cannes, Berlin, Venice, Toronto.
  • Organising company attendance at markets (Cannes, TIFF, AFM, Sundance, and EFM).
  • Assisting in the creation and maintenance of sales and marketing materials (market line ups, mailchimps, etc.).
  • Running weekly marketing meetings including weekly box office/streamer analysis of major territories for our films (e.g. US, UK, France, Germany), including info on number of screens, screen average, reviews, and release updates.
  • Be part of the team wide tracking of project acquisitions and analysing commercial value as well as providing written analysis and coverage.

THE PERSON
Ideally from a Film and TV background within marketing or PR, you will need a passion for cinema, and a strong interest in the entertainment industry is key. We are looking for candidates who are great at building and nurturing relationships with the likes of broadcasters, producers and filmmakers and internally with relevant teams. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential to allow you to connect with individuals across all levels, making you an effective collaborator and team player.

Experience with tools including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat and Mailchimp, with familiarity in InDesign is an added advantage. It is important you are able to prioritise and complete multiple tasks while maintaining focus on the broader goals. Knowledge of foreign languages is a plus.
