Our client is a creative, heritage‑led business with a global footprint, responsible for managing and growing one of the world’s most iconic literary brands across multiple formats and markets.

THE ROLE
As a Junior Licensing Executive, you will support the international publishing, audio, theatre and brand‑extension licensing programme, helping to manage relationships with existing licensees and create new opportunities.

  • Manage publisher relationships and support ongoing activity across Europe and Asia while helping to develop new commercial opportunities.
  • Coordinate theatre licensing by handling amateur enquiries and assisting with professional stage deals, ensuring materials, approvals and records are accurate.
  • Support business development across publishing, audio, theatre, merchandising and brand extension through research, preparation and negotiation assistance.
  • Maintain rights records by tracking renewals, approvals and contractual milestones and keeping rights, territories and licensee information up to date.
  • Process permission requests and ensure Salesforce data remains complete, consistent and current.
  • Manage brand approvals by supporting product‑related reviews and helping maintain publishing brand guidelines and reference materials.
  • Provide operational support through drafting deal memos, contributing to reporting and preparing materials for major industry events.

THE PERSON
You should be collaborative and confident working with data, documentation and approvals. It is important you can manage multiple tasks and understand the importance of protecting a globally recognised literary legacy. You should have strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail and clear communication, with a proactive, can‑do approach. To excel in this role, you should have a strong interest in classic literature, publishing, theatre, licensing or the creative industries, and have relevant experience in rights, licensing or media. Confidence with spreadsheets, contracts and rights information is important, alongside an understanding of intellectual property.
