The Opportunity

We are working with a growing and ambitious professional services group to recruit a

Corporate Tax Manager into its expanding finance and tax function.

This is a fully remote opportunity , offering the flexibility to work from anywhere in the UK.

The role would suit an experienced corporate tax professional looking to take ownership of a broad range of tax matters across a growing and evolving group.

Working closely with senior stakeholders and external advisers, you will play a key role in ensuring the business maintains a robust approach to tax compliance, reporting and governance, while also supporting the wider business on tax planning and commercial projects.

There is plenty of scope to make an impact, improve processes and develop your career as the organisation continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

As Corporate Tax Manager, you will be responsible for a broad corporate tax remit, including:

  • Managing the group's UK corporate tax compliance requirements, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
  • Preparing and/or reviewing corporation tax computations, returns and supporting documentation.
  • Managing tax provisioning and reporting requirements as part of the year-end and financial reporting process.
  • Working closely with the wider finance team to ensure appropriate tax treatment across the group.
  • Managing relationships with external tax advisers and other third-party specialists.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for corporate tax queries across the business.
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of appropriate tax governance, controls and documentation.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve tax processes, systems and ways of working.
  • Monitoring changes in UK tax legislation and assessing the potential impact on the group.
  • Supporting senior stakeholders with tax planning and commercially focused tax matters.
  • Providing tax input into acquisitions, integrations, restructuring and other strategic projects where required.
  • Liaising with HMRC and supporting the business with any tax enquiries.

About You

We are looking for someone with strong UK corporate tax experience who is comfortable operating in a growing and commercially focused environment.

You will ideally have

  • ACA, ACCA and/or CTA qualification.
  • Strong UK corporate tax experience gained within practice, industry or a combination of both.
  • Experience managing corporate tax compliance and reporting requirements.
  • A strong understanding of UK corporation tax legislation.
  • The ability to communicate complex tax matters clearly to non-tax stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail alongside a commercial and pragmatic approach.
  • Experience working with external advisers and managing multiple deadlines.
  • The confidence to take ownership of tax matters and operate with a high degree of autonomy.
  • The ability to work effectively within a remote environment and build strong relationships across the wider business.

Experience within a professional services, financial services or acquisitive/group environment would be advantageous, although not essential.

Why Apply?

This is an opportunity to join an ambitious organisation at an exciting stage of its development, with the chance to take genuine ownership of corporate tax and work closely with senior stakeholders.

Alongside the fully remote working arrangement , the role offers a broad remit rather than being purely compliance focused, providing exposure to tax reporting, governance, advisory work, acquisitions and strategic projects .
