We are Searchflex, a high-performance ecommerce search agency. We don't do generic SEO. We build full ecom search systems (CheckoutOS) for D2C brands doing £50k–£10M/month, focused on profit, clarity, and control. We're expanding – and we're hiring someone smart, reliable, and technical to take ownership of SEO execution.

You will work closely with the director to help deliver our SEO strategy and performance roadmap across multiple WordPress and Shopify ecommerce brands. You will help turn SEO audits and growth plans into real-world improvements, owning execution across site health, discoverability, performance, and conversion optimisation.

You will be responsible for improving how ecommerce sites perform in search by fixing underlying issues, supporting content strategy, and ensuring SEO best practices are properly implemented across the site. You will follow the strategy we develop together – and take ownership of making sure it's delivered to a high standard across multiple brands.

You will own delivery across:

  • Supporting technical and site-wide audits, prioritising issues, and turning them into clear action plans
  • Helping shape keyword clusters, search intent mapping, and content briefs for ecommerce pages and collections
  • Ensuring structured data, internal linking, metadata, and page templates follow best-practice standards
  • Working alongside developers, with themes and templates to improve site speed, usability, and Core Web Vitals
  • Managing sitemaps, crawl coverage, redirects, and resolving indexation issues
  • Maintaining robots.txt rules and ensuring search engines can access the right pages
  • Supporting hreflang setups, country/language targeting, and international site structure
  • Cleaning up broken links, duplicate pages, redirect chains, and thin or outdated URLs
  • Assisting with SEO-led A/B testing and conversion-focused improvements
  • Producing clear, client-ready documentation and tracking progress against SEO roadmaps

Must-Have Experience:

  • 3+ years in ecommerce SEO, either in-house or agency-side
  • Experience working on large ecommerce sites, including international stores
  • Comfortable managing end-to-end SEO execution, not just recommendations
  • Strong working knowledge of WordPress, Shopify, Google Search Console, GA4, and common SEO tools
  • Solid understanding of technical SEO fundamentals (indexation, site structure, performance)
  • Experience supporting international SEO projects
  • Strong project management and communication skills
  • Confident delivering high-quality work independently
  • Good understanding of page performance and Core Web Vitals

Bonus Points:

  • CRO & Testing Experience – Supporting SEO-led tests that improved conversion rates
  • Automation & Efficiency – Using scripts, AI, or tools to streamline SEO workflows
  • AI-Driven SEO – Using ChatGPT or similar tools for audits, briefs, or QA
  • Multi-Region Ecommerce – Hands-on experience with Shopify Markets or geo-targeted stores
  • Front-End Familiarity – Comfortable making light theme or layout adjustments
  • Process-Driven Mindset – Creating SOPs or scalable SEO systems
  • Google Shopping Knowledge – Experience with Merchant Center or product feeds

  • Birthday off
  • Gym and fitness perks
  • Bonuses and profit share scheme
  • New macbook
  • Additional tech budgets
  • Flexitime
