We are partnered with a global healthcare organization who continue to expand within the UK. They are seeking a Business Development Manager to effectively grow accounts while identifying opportunities to expand services within established and dormant accounts, growing their UK market share. This position will develop and execute strategic initiatives to strengthen market presence in Ireland, leveraging the organisation’s reputation to further expand its diagnostic portfolio across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve sales targets through promotion of the company’s product portfolio across Ireland.
- Develop strong relationships with new and existing customers.
- Strong hunter mentality.
- Deliver product demonstrations, prepare commercial proposals, and support contract negotiations and renewals.
- Address customer enquiries and resolve concerns to enhance satisfaction and identify new growth opportunities.
- Represent the organisation at relevant industry events, conferences, and customer meetings.
- Provide technical input into tenders and proposals, supporting strategic planning for future business opportunities.
- Plan and manage travel within the territory efficiently in accordance with company policy.
Profile
- Degree in a Bioscience, Bioengineering or Clinical Field.
- Demonstrated experience in sales and business development within the clinical diagnostics sector.
- Appetite for regular travel across North UK.
- Exposure to Managed Service contracts and capital equipment sales to public and private healthcare providers.
- Knowledge of or experience selling blood, haematology or biochemistry solutions.
- Established network within public and private healthcare systems.
