Senior Quantity Surveyor – Leading UK Main Contractor The CompanyA well-established Main Contractor with a strong reputation for delivering major schemes for a portfolio of long-standing blue‐chip clients. Known for high‐quality delivery, collaborative working and operating with genuine integrity, they continue to expand across multiple sectors including Residential, Student Accommodation, Industrial, Retail, and Infrastructure, with typical project values ranging from £20m – £120m.Relationships are central to how they operate. They retain many of the same supply chain partners they began with and enjoy exceptional levels of repeat business due to the trust, consistency and professionalism they bring to every project.The Role As Senior Quantity Surveyor, your role will revolve around the commercial leadership of a new build project. The role reports into a visiting Managing QS who can offer support and guidance as required. You will also have a small commercial team to assist you.Key Responsibilities include: Issuing sub‐contract tender packages.Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors.Attending post tender and pre‐contract meetings.Reviewing contract documents.Managing and maintaining relationships with an established list of supply chain sub‐contractors.Assessing contract risk.Attending internal and external commercial review meetings.Submitting client valuations and managing the variation account.Managing subcontract accounts from procurement to final account.Preparing and assisting with the evaluation and submission of claims for variation works.Benefits Salary up to £85,000 per annum (dependent on experience)Car allowanceCompetitive pension contributionPrivate healthcarePerformance‐related bonus schemeClear progression opportunities within a thriving commercial team
