Our client seeks an Accountant to join their Tax and Accounting team.
Reporting to the Associate Director - Tax, you will be involved in the preparation of financial statements, tax returns and relevant submissions for a wide range of CSP clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, tax returns & submissions for CSP clients.
- Maintaining company accounting records using Sage and Xero.
- Preparation of financial statements up to review stage with a view to progressing and becoming the reviewer.
- Preparation of iXBRL financial Statements for submission to HMRC.
- Preparation of company/individual and trust tax computations and tax returns for submission to both the Isle of Man tax office and HMRC.
- Liaising with HMRC and the IOM Income Tax Office as necessary.
- Liaising with clients.
- Liaising with the various teams in the business to manage the various submission deadlines etc.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Experience in preparation of financial statements.
- Familiarity with FRS 102 and FRS 105.
- Experience with IFRS would be useful.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience of Isle of Man and UK tax would be advantageous, but training will be provided.
- Ability to research legislation and draft detailed reports for review.
