How to prepare for a job interview at Searchability®

Know Your SQL Inside Out

Make sure you brush up on your SQL skills before the interview. Be prepared to discuss complex queries you've written and how you've optimised them. Practising common SQL problems can really help you feel confident when discussing your technical abilities.

Showcase Your SSRS Experience

Since this role involves designing and deploying SSRS reports, be ready to share specific examples of your past work with SSRS. Talk about the types of reports you've created, any challenges you faced, and how you overcame them. This will demonstrate your hands-on experience and problem-solving skills.

Communicate Clearly

Strong communication is key in this role, especially when collaborating with stakeholders. Practice explaining technical concepts in simple terms, as you may need to convey insights to non-technical team members. This will show that you can bridge the gap between data and decision-making.

Prepare Questions for Them

Interviews are a two-way street! Prepare thoughtful questions about the company's data governance initiatives or how they measure success in their reporting. This shows your genuine interest in the role and helps you assess if the company is the right fit for you.
