ABOUT THE CLIENT
Due to continued growth, we’re supporting a fast-growing AI-powered SaaS startup operating within the education sector. Their platform focuses on personalised learning, using AI to help children improve vocabulary and support university students with intelligent exam revision tools. As the product continues to scale, they’re looking to add a Software Engineer to help enhance and evolve their core AI-driven platform.

THE SOFTWARE ENGINEER ROLE:
This is a hands-on Software Engineer position focused on building and improving backend services that power an AI-led SaaS platform. You’ll work closely with other Engineers and product-focused teams to deliver scalable, reliable solutions that directly impact end users. While the role has a backend focus, there’s exposure across the wider stack, making it ideal for Engineers who enjoy variety and ownership in a startup environment.
SOFTWARE ENGINEER ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Commercial experience with TypeScript, particularly on the backend
- Experience building and maintaining APIs and backend services
- Exposure to cloud platforms, ideally Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience working with AI tools or LLMs such as Claude
- Comfortable working in a remote-first, collaborative team
DESIRABLE (NOT ESSENTIAL)
- React Native
- MongoDB and/or PostgreSQL
- Experience working within a SaaS or startup environment
