As a Project Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality IT infrastructure projects. You’ll design, install, and configure server, storage, and network environments, provide technical pre-sales input, and act as an escalation point for complex technical issues. This is a hands-on role that combines technical consultancy, project delivery, and 3rd line support.

What will you need?

  • Proven experience deploying and supporting servers, storage, and LAN/WLAN networks
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Hyper-V, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
  • Experience with backup and recovery systems in virtualised environments (e.g. Veeam)
  • Skilled in firewall and web filter configuration and network authentication (e.g. Radius)
  • Ability to produce detailed technical documentation and design proposals
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with a methodical, customer-focused approach
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel nationally

What would be desirable?

  • Experience working within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment
  • Knowledge of HPE server/storage, Aruba networking, and Smoothwall appliances
  • Understanding of SD-WAN technologies and cloud-integrated solutions
  • Previous experience in technical pre-sales or consultancy
