Principal Management Consultant role within a National Security consulting practice. Lead complex, high-impact programmes while shaping consulting strategy and capability growth. Hybrid working with regular access to a London office. Opportunity to influence methodology, innovation and long-term client relationships. Must hold enhanced DV Clearance.
ABOUT THE CLIENT
Our client is a leading UK-based engineering organisation operating across defence, security and advanced technology programmes. They work at the forefront of innovation, partnering with government and industry to solve complex, mission-critical challenges. Due to continued growth within their consulting capability, they are seeking an experienced Principal Consultant to provide senior leadership and strategic direction.
THE ROLE
As a Principal Consultant, you will operate as a senior leader within the National Security consulting practice, driving delivery excellence, innovation and capability development across multiple engagements. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading multiple complex consulting engagements, providing intellectual leadership and senior decision-making.
- Driving capability development, innovation and new methodologies within the consulting practice.
- Building and maintaining strong strategic customer relationships, securing buy-in for future initiatives.
- Contributing to business strategy, growth planning and the development of consulting teams.
- Mentoring and developing consultants across a range of disciplines.
PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Proven experience working in secure Gov sector within management consulting.
- Strong leadership and mentoring experience across areas such as business analysis, business change, technical consultancy, agile delivery, product development or programme management.
- Experience developing new methods, tools or approaches to meet complex client requirements.
- Ability to lead research and analysis and convert insights into actionable outcomes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
