Due to continued growth, we’re recruiting for a Lead Software Engineer to join an established technology-driven organisation based in Newark-on-Trent. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll play a key part in shaping products, mentoring developers, and influencing the technical direction of the business.

Role Responsibilities:
You’ll take ownership of full stack software delivery across web, mobile, and backend systems, working closely with a team of 3 developers while remaining hands-on technically. This role combines software engineering leadership with architecture, mentoring, sprint planning, and stakeholder collaboration. You’ll help shape how the team builds software whilst ensuring delivery remains scalable, maintainable, and commercially focused.
You’ll work across modern .NET applications, Blazor front ends, REST APIs, AWS infrastructure, and .NET MAUI mobile applications — contributing from concept through to deployment.
Essential Skills:
- Strong commercial experience with C# / .NET
- Modern .NET 8/10 development experience
- Blazor / Razor Components
- ASP.NET Core REST API development
- Entity Framework Core
- AWS infrastructure experience
- MySQL
- CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps & Git
- Full stack software engineering experience
- Experience mentoring or leading developers
- Strong understanding of scalable architecture and clean code principles
