Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Software Architect to join their Newcastle-based engineering team.
THE SOFTWARE ARCHITECT ROLE
As Software Architect, you will work closely with System Architects and Agile Scrum teams to design scalable, secure, and maintainable architectures for complex geospatial platforms. You will translate high-level business and technical requirements into robust architectural solutions while supporting delivery teams throughout the software lifecycle. You will provide architectural guidance across development teams, contribute to technical reviews, identify and mitigate technical risks, and ensure solutions meet both functional and non-functional requirements.
SOFTWARE ARCHITECT ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Strong experience designing software architectures for complex systems
- Experience working within cloud-based environments
- Awareness and understanding of DevSecOps principles
- Ability to balance strategic architectural thinking with hands-on delivery
- Strong stakeholder communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience working within secure, reliable, and compliance-driven environments
- Agile / Scrum delivery experience
