About the Client:
This consultancy builds and delivers software for major brands globally. The role involves leading a talented, multicultural engineering team and acting as the technical bridge between engineering, product and the client. Leaders are expected to stay close to the work, take ownership, and shape how their team builds.
The Role:
As a Technical Leader, you will lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers, own delivery end to end, and ensure technical initiatives align with business goals. Responsibilities include:
- Leading, mentoring and growing a multidisciplinary team of engineers
- Owning team composition, onboarding, capacity planning and performance
- Proposing, prioritising and managing the backlog against sprint goals and delivery timelines
- Overseeing the full software lifecycle, from development and testing to deployment and support
- Keeping the codebase scalable, efficient and maintainable through strong engineering practices
- Acting as a trusted technical advisor to the client and a communication bridge across teams
- Driving continuous improvement in engineering practices, tools and ways of working
Essential Experience:
- 10 plus years of hands on Python development experience
- Strong experience with modern frameworks, ideally Flask or Django
- Cloud experience, ideally across the AWS ecosystem
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical detail for non-technical stakeholders
- Fluent written and verbal English
Nice to Have:
- Experience with data platforms, ETLs or data science
- Exposure to GCP or Azure alongside AWS
