ABOUT THE CLIENT
Our client is a specialist consultancy delivering advanced digital and AI transformation programmes into highly secure public sector environments. They support organisations in adopting AI safely, responsibly and at scale. Due to increasing demand for structured AI governance and operating frameworks, they are seeking an experienced AI Operating Model & Governance Consultant to shape enterprise-wide AI enablement.
THE AI OPERATING MODEL & GOVERNANCE CONSULTANT ROLE
As an AI Operating Model & Governance Consultant, you will design and implement scalable AI operating models and governance structures that enable safe, compliant and value-driven AI adoption. Key responsibilities include:
- Designing AI operating models covering roles, skills, responsibilities and lifecycle processes
- Establishing governance forums, assurance controls and model risk management frameworks
- Embedding responsible AI standards and regulatory compliance mechanisms
- Designing AI Centres of Excellence (CoEs) and federated operating models
- Implementing governance structures across business and technology teams
- Aligning data governance, ML engineering workflows and MLOps toolchains to enterprise operating models
AI OPERATING MODEL & GOVERNANCE CONSULTANT ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise AI operating models
- Strong knowledge of AI governance, assurance controls and model risk principles
- Experience with responsible AI standards and regulatory compliance frameworks
- Experience designing AI CoEs and federated AI operating structures
- Understanding of data governance, ML engineering workflows and MLOps integration
- Experience operating within secure, highly regulated public sector environments
- Enhanced DV clearance (essential)
