In this hands-on role, you'll support the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of customer networks under the guidance of experienced Network Engineers. Day to day, you'll assist with installing, configuring, and testing network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. You'll help troubleshoot connectivity, hardware, and software issues, monitor network performance, and contribute to improvements that optimise efficiency and reliability.
You'll also play a key part in maintaining accurate documentation - including network diagrams, configuration records, and processes - and collaborate with cross-functional teams on project planning and implementation.
Education in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or equivalent hands-on experience.
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals: Familiarity with core network security concepts, tools, and best practices (firewalls, VPNs, IPS/IDS, encryption).
Ability to analyse and diagnose network issues using monitoring tools and packet capture analysis.
Industry certifications such as CCNA or Network+ (or progress towards these).
Experience using ticketing systems and documenting changes in line with ITIL-style processes.
