What will the Infrastructure Engineer be doing?

This role involves maintaining, securing, and improving multi‑classification, virtualised environments while supporting cloud‑based and project systems across public, private, and hybrid infrastructures. It includes monitoring systems, managing incidents, performing maintenance through change control, and ensuring platforms remain secure, patched, and aligned with best practices. The position also requires continuous skills development, advising stakeholders, and sharing knowledge to enhance overall system performance and team capability.

The Infrastructure Engineer Should Have...

  • Active security clearance at SC or MoD DV level – due to the nature of the client and role, we can only consider candidates who hold a British passport.
  • Be willing to work full‑time on client site in Farnborough.

Essential Skills Required:

  • Windows Server 2016+ administration.
  • VMware vSphere/vCenter/VCF.
  • Azure/Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Linux (CentOS/RedHat/Ubuntu).
  • PowerShell.
  • EUD provisioning (Autopilot), maintenance, patching and hardening.
  • SSO – concepts and operation.
  • Understanding of working in secure environments.
