WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
An exciting opportunity has opened for an experienced Data Architect to take ownership of designing, implementing, and evolving a comprehensive data environment for a leading organisation in the sports and entertainment space. This position will play a key role in developing scalable, high-performance data systems that power live analytics, performance insights, audience engagement, and strategic reporting. We’re looking for someone with a genuine enthusiasm for sports, strong expertise in data architecture, and the ability to navigate complex technical challenges within a dynamic, fast-moving setting.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Designing data models for operational, analytical, and predictive needs.
- Integrating diverse data sources such as wearables, CRM platforms, and live systems.
- Establishing strong data governance practices.
- Close collaboration with technical teams to ensure reliable, accessible data.
- Managing cloud-based infrastructure and enabling real-time analytics.
- Continuously exploring new technologies to drive innovation in the sports and entertainment space.
DATA ARCHITECT – ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Strong experience in data architecture, database design, or similar roles.
- Proven experience working on large-scale, complex data architecture projects.
- Skilled in designing and managing scalable data systems (warehouses, lakes, pipelines).
- Proficient with cloud platforms (Google Cloud).
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools and real-time data processing.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, and data modeling techniques.
- Familiar with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
- Solid understanding of data security, compliance, and governance.
