ABOUT THE CLIENT

Our client is a respected organisation within the UK cybersecurity and digital assurance sector, supporting complex transformation and security programmes for major government and private-sector customers. They deliver specialist penetration testing and security consultancy across a diverse technical landscape. Due to ongoing programme growth, they are now seeking an experienced Penetration Tester to join their advanced security testing team.

THE PENETRATION TESTER ROLE

As a Penetration Tester, you will deliver high-quality technical assessments across infrastructure, applications, cloud environments, and networked systems. You will simulate real-world attack scenarios using both manual and automated techniques, produce clear and concise technical/executive reports, support remediation guidance, and contribute to specialist assessments and research initiatives. You will work closely with clients, ensuring professional delivery and confidentiality at all times.

PENETRATION TESTER – ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • CHECK Team Member (CTM) – CREST or CyberScheme
  • 2–3 years’ experience in penetration testing / offensive security roles
  • Strong hands-on experience with tools such as BurpSuite, Metasploit, Nmap
  • Good understanding of Windows & NIX operating systems
  • Ability to assess firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, network devices, wireless technologies
  • Experience documenting findings and writing accurate remediation guidance
  • Understanding of frameworks such as ISO27001, GDPR, PCI DSS
  • Ability to conduct ITHC, risk assessments, and compliance-focused audits
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Relevant degree or postgraduate qualification
  • Experience in Cloud Security (AWS / Azure)
