We’re partnering with a fast-growing UK technology organisation developing advanced infrastructure solutions. As they scale, they are looking for a Head of People & Operations to establish the foundations that will support long-term growth, performance, and culture.

THE HEAD OF PEOPLE & OPERATIONS ROLE:
This is a hands-on, foundational role suited to someone who enjoys building systems, processes, and culture from the ground up. You’ll take full ownership of the employee lifecycle while also supporting key operational functions across the business. Working closely with the COO, you will ensure the organisation runs smoothly, remains compliant, and is set up to scale effectively.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing the full employee lifecycle (recruitment, onboarding, performance, development, offboarding)
- Building and championing company culture and engagement initiatives
- Owning HR policies, compliance, and employee relations
- Establishing company-wide operational processes (approvals, spend management, reporting)
- Supporting headcount planning, budgeting, and workforce insights
- Implementing systems, tools, and operational dashboards
- Identifying and resolving operational inefficiencies
HEAD OF PEOPLE & OPERATIONS ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Proven experience building People / HR functions within a startup, scale-up, or SME
- Strong understanding of UK employment law, compliance, and HR best practices
- Experience across hiring, onboarding, performance management, and policy creation
- Comfortable operating across both HR and broader business operations
- Hands-on with systems, tools, and process implementation
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a proactive and structured approach
