We’re supporting a well-established UK organisation known for investing heavily in its technology and operational resilience. With a strong focus on protecting critical services, they are continuing to build out their cyber and governance capabilities and are now looking for a Cyber Resilience Analyst to join the team.

This role will suit someone hands off with the technology, that has experience of drafting plans for incidents and disaster recovery.

THE BENEFITS

  • Hybrid working model with flexibility.
  • Opportunity to shape resilience strategy across a large-scale environment.
  • Access to modern Microsoft and virtualisation technologies.
  • Collaborative environment across IT, Security, and Business functions.

THE CYBER RESILIENCE ANALYST ROLE:

This is a technically grounded governance role sitting within Cyber GRC, focused on ensuring the organisation can effectively respond to and recover from cyber incidents.

You’ll be responsible for designing, maintaining, and continuously improving Business Continuity Plans (BCP), Disaster Recovery (DR) frameworks, and Incident Response processes. This includes mapping critical systems, defining RTO/RPO requirements, and validating recovery strategies across cloud and on-prem environments.

From a technical perspective, you’ll work closely with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams to understand system dependencies across Windows environments, Azure platforms, and virtualised estates (VMware). You’ll contribute to resilience testing exercises, including failover scenarios (e.g. Azure Site Recovery), tabletop exercises, and live simulations.

You’ll also play a key role in post-incident reviews, analysing root causes, identifying control gaps, and feeding improvements back into resilience planning. Alongside this, you’ll support project teams to embed resilience into new system designs, ensuring high availability, redundancy, and recoverability are considered from the outset.

This role requires someone who can bridge the gap between technical infrastructure and business impact, translating complex system behaviour into clear recovery strategies for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

CYBER RESILIENCE ANALYST ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Proven experience in Cyber Resilience, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, or Incident Response.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise IT environments (Windows Server, networking, infrastructure dependencies).
  • Experience defining and testing BCP/DR plans, including RTO/RPO alignment.
  • Ability to analyse system architecture and map service dependencies.
  • Excellent documentation and report writing skills (policies, playbooks, recovery plans).
  • Strong stakeholder engagement – able to communicate with both technical teams and business leaders.

DESIRABLE

  • Familiarity with VMware environments and virtual infrastructure resilience.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Defender suite and security tooling.
  • Experience running incident simulations or resilience testing exercises.
  • Knowledge of frameworks such as ISO 22301, NIST, or ISO 27001.
