The Role:
We are working with a client delivering critical national security programmes and are seeking an experienced Automation Tester. This is a hands-on role within a secure environment, supporting the development of systems that have a direct impact on national security.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain automated test frameworks
- Execute automated and manual tests across complex secure systems
- Collaborate closely with developers, DevOps, and delivery teams in Agile environments
- Identify defects early and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Support CI/CD pipelines and overall test strategy
Required Skills & Experience
- Active eDV clearance (essential)
- Strong experience in automation testing
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright or similar
- Knowledge of Agile / DevOps practices
- Experience testing APIs, integrations, and backend services
- Must be able to work on-site in Cheltenham
Desirable Skills
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, etc.)
- Exposure to performance, security, or non-functional testing
