Business Analyst (Contract) – National Security – eDV Cleared
- Role: Business Analyst
- Duration: 12 months+ contract
- Stance: Inside IR35
- Rate: £600 – £675 per day
- Location: Cheltenham – 3–4 days per week on site
- Clearance: Must hold enhanced DV / UKIC Clearance
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with DV Clearance to support the delivery of complex transformation projects within the national security domain. This is a hands‑on role working closely with stakeholders to capture business needs, shape solutions, and ensure successful delivery of new capabilities.
The successful BA will work within multidisciplinary teams, applying structured analysis and problem‑solving techniques to help clients achieve measurable business benefits from their investments.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with stakeholders to understand business challenges, capture requirements, and define clear project objectives.
- Facilitate workshops to drive consensus and align business and technical stakeholders.
- Develop and document business processes, data flows, and solution requirements.
- Support project teams in developing and implementing appropriate methodologies.
- Contribute to communications planning and change adoption activities.
- Guide stakeholders through business transformation and process improvement initiatives.
Essential Skills
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Proven experience facilitating workshops across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Proficiency in requirements definition and management.
- Experience using Visio for process modelling and Atlassian tools (Confluence, JIRA).
- Familiarity with both Waterfall and Agile delivery environments.
- Experience preparing business areas for transition to new ways of working.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must hold enhanced DV / UKIC Clearance.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with LEAN, Six Sigma, or other business improvement methodologies.
- Prior exposure to secure or classified programme environments.
- Experience in transformation or change programmes within Defence or National Security sectors.
