BUSINESS ANALYST

Hybrid working in Chester

Up to £50,000 (DOE)

ABOUT THE CLIENT

Due to continued growth, we’re working with a leading financial services organisation who’re looking to add a Business Analyst to the team with 2 years or more experience. The business is well-established, highly regulated, and known for its collaborative agile culture and strong investment in technology.

This role sits within a mature IT function supporting business critical systems across lending, finance, and customer operations.

THE BUSINESS ANALYST ROLE

As a Business Analyst, you’ll act as a key bridge between technology and the wider business. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to understand complex business problems, translate requirements into clear, actionable outputs, and support delivery across a broad range of technology initiatives.

This role has a strong solution focus, covering financial systems, management information, BI tools, API integrations, CRM platforms, and customer-facing applications, as well as non IT operational improvement projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, manage expectations, and prioritise needs
  • Creating and maintaining epics, user stories, and tasks within Agile delivery tools
  • Supporting product prioritisation and decision making through business value analysis
  • Leading refinement sessions and ensuring work items are delivery-ready
  • Conducting impact assessments and aligning requirements to business objectives
  • Supporting testing, compliance, security, and GDPR considerations
  • Planning and managing pilots and rollouts through to go-live
  • Defining and tracking KPIs, and reporting progress and risks to stakeholders

BUSINESS ANALYST – ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • 2+ years’ experience in a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst role
  • Experience working across multiple integrated systems in an enterprise environment
  • End-to-end delivery experience, from requirements gathering through to implementation
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to analyse complex problems
  • Comfortable working in Agile delivery environments

DESIRABLE (NOT ESSENTIAL)

  • Experience within financial services or regulated environments
  • Salesforce CRM experience
  • Experience working closely with Developers and Product Managers
  • Exposure to process analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders
