ABOUT THE CLIENT

Our client is a globally recognised aerospace and defence organisation delivering cutting‑edge engineering, manufacturing, and security operations across highly secure and regulated environments. They are seeking a Security Performance and Project Lead to support the delivery and continuous improvement of Physical Security Operations across their Belfast site. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high‑performing security function responsible for protecting staff, contractors, visitors, infrastructure, products, and assets within a critical operational environment.

THE SECURITY PERFORMANCE AND PROJECT LEAD ROLE

As Security Performance and Project Lead, you will support the Head of Site Security in delivering a robust and effective security framework across the Belfast operation. You will play a key role in driving physical security project delivery, operational performance, compliance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will work closely with the wider Physical Security Operations team, supporting Security Operations, Security Systems, Emergency Response, Fire Safety, and Fire Fighting services to ensure the business receives a high‑quality and effective security service.

The role will involve coordinating security projects, managing KPIs and reporting, supporting governance meetings, conducting audits and process reviews, maintaining compliance documentation, and driving continuous improvement activities across operational security services. You will also support contractor management, Capex project delivery, Active Risk Management coordination, and EHS compliance activities within a highly secure and regulated environment.

SECURITY PERFORMANCE AND PROJECT LEAD ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Strong project management experience
  • Background within security, administration, or operational support environments
  • Experience supporting physical security operations and projects
  • Experience with auditing, process confirmation, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement
  • Strong understanding of KPIs and SLAs
  • Experience managing data, trackers, reporting, and governance documentation
  • Excellent Microsoft Office and G‑Suite skills
  • Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience coordinating meetings, actions, and reporting activities
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing operational priorities
  • Experience supporting contractor or third‑party supplier activities desirable
  • Experience with security systems installation projects desirable
  • Understanding of emergency response, fire safety, or operational resilience environments advantageous
  • Must be eligible for BPSS clearance and UK Civil Aviation Enhanced Vetting
