We’re partnering with a well-established UK organisation recognised as one of the best large companies to work for. With a strong people-first culture and continued investment in technology, they are now looking to appoint a Cyber Security Architect to shape and mature their enterprise security capability.
This is a senior, strategic position responsible for shaping the organisation’s security architecture and embedding security by design across all IT and business change initiatives. You will lead the Security Engineering function, covering Identity & Access Management, Cloud Security, Threat Modelling, and Application Security. You’ll work closely with both technical teams and senior business stakeholders to ensure secure solution design, influence strategic technology decisions, and maintain alignment with regulatory and business objectives. You will also drive architecture reviews for major programmes, define and maintain security reference models, evaluate emerging technologies, and mentor security professionals within the team.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise security architectures
- Strong expertise in Identity & Access Management principles and technologies
- Experience within predominantly Microsoft environments
- Threat modelling and secure design review experience
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to influence and embed security best practice across diverse teams
- Experience leading and mentoring security engineers
DESIRABLE
- Knowledge of secure development frameworks (e.g. OWASP)
- Experience with Akamai
- Understanding of Zero Trust principles
- Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP or SABSA
