The Role: This is a practical, field-based role for a qualified HGV driver with a proactive approach. You will operate specialist vacuum tankers and HGVs to carry out essential maintenance and cleaning services, supporting both planned and emergency work across a range of industrial and infrastructure sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive and operate HGVs and vacuum tankers
- Assist in cleaning, waste removal, and spill management tasks
- Handle suction hoses and remove waste and debris (manual handling required)
- Work on wet wells, tanks, siphons, and other wastewater assets
- Operate vacuum units, booms, and other specialist equipment
- Complete vehicle checks and digital job reports
- Maintain vehicles and equipment in excellent condition
- Travel and occasional overnight stays required
- Participate in an on-call rota as needed
Ideal Candidate:
- Full UK Class C (HGV) licence
- Clean driving record
- Strong work ethic and physically fit
- Comfortable working outdoors and in varied environments
- Flexible with travel and time away from home
- Eligible to work in the UK
